The choir that plays in the introduction of the Halo theme is one of the most famous pieces of game soundtrack. It is possible to play this short piece on Native American Flute.

The original Halo theme and music was composed by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori. To this day, it’s one of the most iconic themes in computer and console gaming.

If you’re a gamer, you will enjoy this one :). As always, I provide the song with simple graphical tablature instead of notes.

This piece uses overblow notes, and some flutes might have different fingering for these two. People with good pitch hearing will have easy time figuring out if their unique fingering sounds right. Don’t worry though – a lot of flutes will use exactly the fingering below, and other flutes should come with fingering charts. Almost every Native flute is capable of playing these two high notes.

Halo theme will sound best on lower keys, such as E4 or D4. Notice the “pause” symbol between the parts :).
